Why is the bar named August?
August is named for Andrew's son.

What was here before?
The building was built in the 1920s. It has been many things over the years, including: a yoga studio, a Church, a campaign headquarters, a clothing store, a Betty Boop store and a goldsmith shop.

Who designed the space?
The proprietors Andrew and Michelle designed and built out the interior space over a ten month period to restore original details like tin ceilings, wood floors, and brick walls.

Do you take reservations?
NO RESERVATIONS. We accommodate guests in the order they arrive.

Can I get take-out?
We serve food only to guests who dine in our space with us.
